Wired Productions has sadly announced today that their Nintendo Switch port of the well-received Deliver Us the Moon has now been canceled by the team. The company says there were a number of factors at play that caused the cancelation and that they had a duty to players to create a great experience on Switch. This hasn’t happened, so they have subsequently canned it. You can read their full statement below.
Hello Astronauts,
It has been just over 6 weeks since we launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – and we have been overwhelmed with the love, passion and positive feedback for the game shown by fans worldwide.
We had planned to include Nintendo Switch in our release schedule. However, today we unfortunately bring news that we will no longer be releasing a Nintendo Switch version of Deliver Us The Moon.
We have a duty to our players and to our teams, and after careful consideration, we have discontinued the development..
The decision has been made based on a number of factors, not helped by the industry-wide stresses that have been felt by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has made every task just that little bit harder.
We understand the disappointment this may cause and if you have preordered the game for Nintendo Switch, you can get in touch with your retailer to cancel this.
Thank you for your patience and support – other missions have only just begun and we look forward to sharing news on where these rockets take us next…
for a small game like this one, it sure needed a lot of resources on PC ( i have a RTX 2060, not the best, but it runs better more complex games)
I expected this to happen. maybe it’s a lot to ask, but Nintendo should be thinking right now on the switch successor.

Nintendo doesnt need little more powerful Switch. If they release games instead of not doing nothing for 8 years, Nintendo Exclusives would whip PS5’s ass.
Here are the games that will whip the PS5’s ass if Nintendo gets off their asses and start immediately
Mario Kart 9
Luigi’s Mansion 4
Pikmin 4
Bayonetta 3&4
Metroid Prime 4&5
BOW 2&3
A New 3D Mario
A New 2D Mario
Toad’s Treasure Tracker 2&3
MARIO Super Strikers
Astral Chain 2 &3
Mario Rabbids 2 &3
Splatoons 3&4
Netflix
Internet Browser
HBO GO
Disney +
Yoshi Wooly Yarn 3 &4
A New IP
A new Starfox developed by Platinum
Retro needs to get off their lazy asses and make more games
A Pokemon game targeted for hardcore audiences instead of 5 year olds and making it super easy again.
New Horizons 2 needs to be in R&D immediately
Mario Baseball
Nintendo needs to get in contact with Capcom to put RE8 on Switch. If Capcom says it’s impossible then Nintendo needs to get off their lazy ass and immediately start a Switch Pro to do what they need to do to get up to date Resident Evil games like the rivals.
Nintendo needs to get off their lazy asses and contact Rockstar about GTAV. If GtAV can be on 360 and PS3 why cant it be on Switch and why wont Nintendo do something about what they need to do to please Rockstar to get on Switch
Nintendo needs to contact Microsoft to try to see what they need to do to get Rareware N64 games on Eshope.
If Nintendo worked immediately on future sequels and games then PS5 would have to bow down to the Switch.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see GTAV on switch releasing with the expanded version on PS5. They did it for LA Noire

Is this that same game Sony unveiled on PS5 with that woman on there? So I see what cowardly sony up to. Pay 3rd party developers to cancel switch versions in order for their expensive console to sell well.

I’d suspect you were being sarcastic, but it has happened in the past.

It was been tine for then to step it up on making games at a faster pace. They take too long to announce a sequel, produce a sequel and release a sequel. And how it is weaker than a PS4.

I was referring to the paid exclusivity. They already work themselves hard on making quality games. If you want them to pump out those games faster, then you’ll get lower quality games. Look, nobody wants a second EA.

Again, I feel the need to say: They already work themselves hard on making quality games. If you want them to pump out those games faster, then you’ll get lower quality games. Look, nobody wants a second EA.

It’s fine, we don’t really need another lazy port.
I’m still waiting for Moon Village from SimFabric anyway.
