This week’s UK sales charts data is now in via GfK and it has been a great week for Nintendo UK. It seems that the Nintendo Switch has had a hardware restock in the United Kingdom and most retailers were only allowing customers to purchase the console in bundles with a select game. This has meant that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has climbed back up to No.1. There’s a grand total of six Nintendo Switch titles in the top ten which is indeed a positive result, although there were no new releases this week.
It’s a strong week for Switch games overall, with numerous games enjoying a bump in sales week-on-week, including Minecraft (No.7), Luigi’s Mansion 3 (No.10), New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe (No.13), Pokémon Sword (No.15), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (No.20), Pokémon Shield (No.43), Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 (No.23), Super Mario Odyssey (No.26), Super Smash Bros Ultimate (No.27), The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (No.84), Super Mario Maker (No.48) and Super Mario Party (No.37).
