Taiwan: Two listings for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time have appeared

If you haven’t been convinced by all the new Crash rumors, then this might change your mind. Listings for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time have appeared on the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee’s site. There is one for Playstation 4, and another for Xbox One. Unfortunately, a Nintendo Switch listing does not exist at this time. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that there won’t be a Switch version.

According to the listings, the game is being developed by Toys for Bob, the same studio behind Spyro Reignited Trilogy. It’s looking increasingly likely that an announcement is imminent, so stay tuned. In the meantime, the listings even had box art, so we’ve included images of that for you to check out down below.

  1. idk, its kind of weird calling it Crash 4. The only way it would make sense as the first title after Warped to deserve a numbered entry, would be if it was Naughty Dog themselves going back and creating a 4th entry. Besides that, Wrath of Cortex is close enough to the original formula to be considered 4. This is like with Sonic the Hedgehog 4, giving a numbered title to a game not even being worked on by Sonic Team and having plenty of other games already released that could have just as easily been labeled the 4th game.

  2. Well, on the cover art, there appears to be that orb… helmet… face thing like Aku Aku that was the subject of that jigsaw puzzle from an earlier post. It certainly grants the rumor a certain amount of credence.

  3. This is cool, wrath of cortex was never actually called 4, so this really is the 4th game, and it’s also good for modern crash fans to see this as the 4th game from the earlier release of the trilogy. It’s a bit like New Pokemon Snap, it would have been stupid calling it Pokemon snap 2 when there’s no way for new fans to play the original, the gaming world is good right now! 😃💖

  4. Apparently it will be revealed 22th of June and won’t come to Switch at this moment. Toys for Bob struggled with performance on Xbox and PS4 for the Ignite Trilogy, so no Switch doesn’t surprise me. Maybe later. Hope PC comes OR at least a PS5/Series X patch comes so we can have 60FPS.

  5. What’s weird is that, according to the japanese names of the games, there is already a Crash 4 (Wrath of Cortex) and a Crash 5 (Twinsanity). So, I’m wondering… Will that game’s gonna be called Crash 6 in japanese?
