The ARMS fighter for Super Smash Bros Ultimate is Min Min coming 29th June

Mr. Sakurai has announced the ARMS fighter who will be joining the eclectic team in Super Smash Bros Ultimate as a downloadable content fighter. The ARMS fighter is the one and only Min Min, which may come as a surprise to fans. The new stage featured in the game will be the colourful Spring Stadium and you will be able to get your hands on Min Min on Monday, 29th June.

“All of this new content will be available to players who own Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 or who purchase Challenger Pack 6 separately for $5.99.* By purchasing Fighters Pass Vol. 2 for a suggested retail price of $29.99, players will get access to Min Min, along with five more yet-to-be-announced Challenger Packs as they release. Each pack includes one new fighter, one stage and multiple music tracks.

“Min Min from ARMS marks the first of six exciting new fighters joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster through Fighters Pass Vol. 2broadening the diversity of unique fighters available to players,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “As our support for the game continues through regular updates and DLC, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate remains the premier destination for video game fans to battle it out alongside many of the most iconic characters in video game history.”

Min Min is the 81st video game character included as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with a roster representing one of the largest crossovers of video game characters in history. From her humble beginnings as a ramen-loving employee at the Mintendo Noodle House, to her knockout performance as a champion contender in the ARMS Grand Prix, it’s no stretch to say Min Min has made a huge name for herself. As a one-of-a-kind fighter, it’s only natural for Min Min’s fighting style in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to be equally unique. Each of her extendable ARMS – the Ramram, the Megawatt and her laser-firing Dragon ARM – can be controlled individually and used to access a diverse range of tools.

Min Min’s accompanying stage, Spring Stadium, features a variety of interactive elements ARMS players will instantly recognize, including the ability to damage opponents when making contact with them after using a jumping platform. Foes will also bounce off the striking ceiling arches when they’re launched. The adorable ARMS drones will also make an appearance to deliver items that aid in battle, but make sure to approach them with caution when freeing boxes to claim their rewards!

In addition to this new fighter update, new Mii Fighter costumes, including Ninjara from ARMS, Heihachi, Callie & Marie from the Splatoon series and Vault Boy, will also be available as separate purchases on June 29.

Finally, two fighters from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will have new amiibo figures available for purchase at select retailers at a later date: Joker, the masked phantom thief, and Hero, the slime-slaying Luminary.

Players can continue to purchase the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 1 at a suggested retail price of $24.99 to gain access to the first five Challenger Packs that were released for the game. Playable fighters Joker, Hero, Banjo & Kazooie, Terry Bogard and Byleth are all available now. For only $5.99 each, players can also purchase these previous packs individually.”

  1. Cool. I personally wanted Sprig Man because I love his design, but I always love more female representation. She looks great!

  2. Assist trophies are dead. Smash is dead. Sakurai is dead. Nintendo is dead. Video games are dead. Everything is dead. I’m leaving social media. At least now I don’t have to worry about Knuckles or Shadow wasting a character slot.

    1. As someone who has never played Arms, I know who Spring Man is because he’s on all the marketing. No idea who this is. Don’t care who gets in Smash, but I’m guessing this leads to the perception of who’s getting in.

Personally Spring Man is my favorite character in ARMS. ButI’m ok with Min Min.

Imo every character in ARMS is cool. But Min Min won because she is the favorite from both fans and creators of the series.

RIP Waluigi 4 be a fighter in general. If it was Spring Man people would start asking for Waluigi again. I’m happy that Min Min is the new characters so spirits have now more chances to be fighters.

    3. No minmin was not the most popular ninjara kid kobra and springman where… If you played the game youd know there was 1 official ballet… Minmin won the crash bash but that wasnt popularity

  3. Lol this is the only dlc character I actually like out of all of them, I honestly didn’t care what arms rep would get choose, but I knew it would be creative and fun to play as one them, I’m just glad sakurai finally shove the “spirits don’t deconfirm fighters” through the smash fans mindeset the only official rule that sakurai has for smash is the fighters has be video game base first, other than that anyone can be a fighter

In fact Min Min completely removes that theory about spirits not be able to be fighters. But something strange I noticed is that Min Min doesn’t have a Spirit board event dedicated to ARMS.

      1. Yeah it’s so weird cause sakurai never mention it, than again the main cast in arms are already spirits, so I guess that’s why aside from update characters

        1. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

That’s strange imo. Indeed we have the original 5 characters but the other 10?

        1. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

Still it’s strange because every new character has aspirit board and Sakurai showed it in every new character presentation.

            1. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

I really don’t know what to say about this. Sakurai isn’t someone who forgets to show things in the characters spotlight.

Another thing he didn’t show off, but probably is understandable on it’s own, it’s if you purchase Min Min the spirit battle of Min Min shouldbe changed to Min Min her self. If you play World of Light or the normal Spirit board and fight Min Min you’ll fight against Corrin. Now if you get Min Min you should fight her like in the case of Mii costumes.

              1. Maybe, but WoL itself hasn’t been touched since the game released other than to add a Very Easy difficulty option. I thought they would at least add battles to unlock the DLC fighters throughout the campaign, but no- you just unlock 10 fighters and *poof*, the DLC fighters just become available, (currently) all 6 at once. For this reason I just refuse to use them until I reach the second map.

  4. I never play the game ARMS but i will really enjoy playing as Min Min next week in the crossover. The presentation video was the first time to show Sakurai’s house live.

A good news and a bad news today. The bad news is Crash 4 isn’t coming to Switch, as it seems for now. The good news is having Min Min as the new character completely destroys the spirits theory/rule.

Which means Bandana Dee and Rayman are still possible characters to be fighters 😃.

I’ll wait and see the full dlc roster. I wouldn’t want to waste money on tingle (from Zelda), big the cat (from sonic), or pokemon trainer Avery. This arms character looks good.

I agree with you about the type of character from an existing series. From Zelda I hope to see Impa at this point.

  7. Well, I was half right. I successfully predicted that you could change gloves which would change your attacks. However, being that I predicted that you’d have multiple ARMS characters for fighter costumes and that both gloves would be changeable, I guess you could say that I was a quarter correct.
