Streets of Rage 4 DLC confirmed and it looks set to include Estel

Dotemu, the talented team behind the recently released Streets of Rage 4 on the Nintendo Switch, has announced on Twitter that they will be adding additional content to the brawler. There’s no estimated time for when the extra content will come, but it looks set to include Estel who is currently a highly requested playable character. Hopefully we shall hear more soon from the team.

  1. What’s Da Dizzneal?

Why is the art direction for this game so lifeless and boring? Generic and ugly. It’s “professional” artwork, but this art style is very unappealing. There’s no character to it; no character to the characters.

    1. They said the same thing with Wind Waker but they also said it was cartoon-ish yet it became a beloved title. When I see these types of comments I see it as if they said the exact same thing to One Piece and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure aka ThE aRt LoOks So UgLy. Anyways I’m expecting the physical special edition from LRG to come un some time during the week.

      1. What’s Da Dizzneal?

This comment is completely off the mark. The Iconic art styles (art direction) of Jojo and One Piece are easily distinguishable, which is what I am referring to; Wind Waker also has a unique style. This here is not a “style”. It’s generic and could’ve been drawn by millions of artists. Jojo, and One piece can’t be drawn by millions of artists without it being acknowledged as an art style that derives from already existing work, from one creator. This style of SoR 4 has no real style, it’s generic and could be found in every corner of the internet where artwork is displayed. Uninspired trash.

    2. There’s a lot of games with generic art styles out there. I don’t really think this is one of them. BUT, to each their own. Personally, I think it’s quite good, I like the coloring style and the combination of eastern and western art styles works much better than leaning hard into one or the other.
