Confirmed: Monster Hunter Rise for Switch releasing 26th March 2021

Now confirmed:

A known leaker has stated that we will get our first glimpse of a new Monster Hunter game on the Nintendo Switch platform today during the Nintendo Partner Direct presentation at 3pm BST. The game is apparently titled Monster Hunter Rise and is exclusive to the Switch system. It’s due for release globally on 23rd March 2021. Reliable insider and analyst Daniel Ahmad also tweeted after the leak saying “Don’t forget to rise early for this one” We shall have to wait and see if the rumoured game is announced during the presentation. Here’s the details:

  1. This would be really cool and finally Capcom releasing an exclusive game made specifically for the Switch. Didn’t think I’d ever see that tbh

  2. Here’s a thought for everyone reading this; If this turns out to be true, what would you say the chances are for the Monster Hunter to appear in Smash Bros?

    1. I’d say their chances are higher now. Although, with Monster Hunter being one of Capcom’s biggest franchises, I was expecting them to be one of the first 5 DLC characters.

But there’s always a chance that they may not be playable since Monster Hunter is already represented by the Rathalos assist trophy/boss and the 2 songs. So we’ll just have to wait and see I guess.

  3. I’m glad it’s a new game and not a port and it’s actually looking pretty good in the graphics department (for a Switch game at least)

Definitely picking this one up at launch.
