Super Mario 3D All-Stars dominated the charts for September 2020 even without digital

GSD market data has been released which shows that Super Mario 3D All-Stars dominated the video game charts for the month of September 2020. This chart data covers sales from the following continents; Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Sadly, Nintendo does not disclose digital sales with the GSD. What is impressive is how Super Mario 3D All-Stars took the top spot despite digital sales not being taken into account compared to the other titles in the charts.

The GSD market data also shows that Nintendo Switch consoles continue to fly off store shelves. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are having more issue selling at the moment as their next generation counterparts are due out next month worldwide. Nintendo Switch hardware sales were up almost 30% in September 2020 vs September 2019. Here’s the best-sellers for September 2020:

  1. Mines is on my gaming shelf unopened. I have no need to open it. I have M64 on my Wii U, And Galaxy 1 and 2 for my Wii and can play it on my Wii pro ( Wii U). And i still have my Gamecube for Sunshine. So im not tempted in opening it.

  2. P.S. i know it isnt no Wii Pro but admit it, the Wii U feels like a Wii Pro more than a different generation console. At least thats what Nintendo made it feel like.

  3. When PS5 and Series X arrive, I dont think it will have any affect on the Switch sales. I dont think the next Switch or Switch pro is going to take off like the current Switch is. Like DS and 3DS sales comparisons.

  4. No one asked for it, but here it is anyway; my mainline Mario games tier list: (games I haven’t played do not appear here)

    1. Super Mario Odyssey
    2. Super Mario Sunshine
    3. Super Mario 3D World
    4. Mario Maker- series
    5. Super Mario World
    6. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island
    7. Super Mario Galaxy 2
    8. Super Mario Bros 2
    9. Super Mario Bros 3
    10. New Super Mario Bros – series
    11. Super Mario Galaxy
    12. Super Mario 64
    13. Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels
    14. Super Mario Bros

I did not buy Super Mario 3D All-Stars as I already own all these games still playable on the consoles of their appearance, which are plugged in. Also as you can see I’m not a fan of Galaxy and 64 so buying it for a prettier version of sunshine, a game I have played many times, and can go play anytime I want on the gamecube seems like a waste.

    1. Hey, remember that solid two weeks where everyone was tearing their hair out in panic about lack of availability on these games?

Are we feeling a little silly now?
