We found out yesterday that the long-awaited DOOM Eternal is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch system on Tuesday, 8th December. The game will only available to purchase digitally via the Nintendo Switch eShop, so many of you will be wondering how much space the game will take up on your Switch microSD Card. Well, it’s been revealed that DOOM Eternal is 17926 MB, so roughly 18GB of space is needed. Here’s more details:
Pre-order Details
Buy DOOM Eternal before December 22nd 2020 and receive both DOOM 64 and the DOOM® Eternal: Rip and Tear Pack as an early purchase bonus.
DOOM ETERNAL: RIP AND TEAR PACK CONTAINS:
- DOOT Revenant Skin: a premium player demon skin for use in BATTLEMODE
- Cultist Base Master Level: a remixed version of the campaign level with new challenges, combat encounters, and surprises
- Throwback Shotgun Weapon Skin: bring DOOM’s classic shotgun to bear on DOOM Eternal’s demon hordes
Yikes. Does anyone know if Eternal has gyro controls on steam? I’ll probably play it on there considering the switch physical version got canceled
Can’t Switch game cards hold 18GB? Shouldn’t this fit fine on one?
I bet the larger cartridges are only produced on demand, and that covid held it back or made it more expensive.
I have a 1TB MicroSD Card in my Switch, so, space isn’t a problem for me. Still, I would of much preferred to have the game physically. But space wise, I’m not worried. I have more than enough.
