VGtech looks at Monster Hunter Rise on Nintendo Switch resolution and frame rate

The Monster Hunter Rise demo is now available via the Nintendo Switch eshop and you can read our early impressions here. VGtech has taken a look at the game’s demo, which uses the Resident Evil Engine, performance running on the Switch hardware. When the demo is running in docked mode its resolution displays at 756p and when it is running in handheld its resolution is at 540p. The Monster Hunter Rise demo is running at a fairly steady 30fps.

  • Docked mode renders the game at a resolution of approximately 1344×756 and renders the UI at 1920×1080. 
  • Portable mode renders the game at a resolution of approximately 960×540 and renders the UI at 1280×720.
  • Monster Hunter Rise runs at 30fps
