SEGA PR calls new Sonic 2022 game Sonic Rangers then removes name

During the 30th anniversary Sonic stream the head of the Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuka, teased a brand new untitled Sonic adventure which is scheduled for release next year on current formats. While the teaser didn’t reveal much, it served as a reminder that the Sonic Team is alive and well and working on a new project. SEGA sent out a press release as a roundup of the announcements which were made during the event. The team called the untitled Sonic 2022 title Sonic Rangers and then sent out another press release removing the name of the game.

With groups like that, there will be more damage to gaming similar to what Anita Sarkeesian and Jack Thompson do. We as consumers must push back against such outsiders who want to ruin our hobbies. If I see any of that Marxist crap in the new sonic game then it is on my boycott list.

      1. I can’t deal with these people who bring up politics on the most random things any longer. Some people just have the world’s issues live rent free in their heads 24/7.

  1. It amazes me that Sega continues making Sonic games immediately even though the sells usually flop, yet developers who make games that sell well wait 20 years to make sequels.
They got this backwards. Shouldn’t the games that flop make a game every 20 years and the games that sell.well be coming out as often as flopped Sonic the Hedgehog Games?

Example the gap in years from Luigi’s Mansion 2 to Luigi’s Mansion 3 are like 6 flopped Sonic games.

    1. Whoever hit you on the head to knock those screws loose in your head needs to do it again so they go back into place.

Seriously, though. Go back to doing rhymes. You were more intelligent then.
