Insiders say Pikmin 4 development was rebooted in 2019

Famed Nintendo video game streamer Chuggaconroy published a tweet last night ironically stating that it is Pikmin 4‘s sixth anniversary. As we all know, legendary video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto said back in September 2015 that Pikmin 4 was nearing the final stages of development. It is now 2021 and the game has yet to be teased or shown to then public. However, numerous insiders have come out of the woodwork to say that Pikmin 4 eventually got rebooted back in 2019, though Nintendo hasn’t publicly said anything. As always we will simply have to wait and see.

“According to Imran (and Emily Rogers), the game got rebooted due to development issues.”

  1. Nintendo never said specifically Pikmin 4 was close to completion, they said the next Pikmin game. We got a Pikmin game afterwards. Miyamoto has said that when it comes to Pikmin, it just makes it for fun. So the projects have long periods of time where the team isn’t working on it. So I’m not surprised Pikmin 4 is taking a long time like with Pikmin 3.

  2. Where’s that Gruntilda dude? He’s been spamming mynintendonews comments section in every goddamn topic about Pikmin 4 for like 6 years now.
