Nintendo has announced that the 24th Maximus Cup for Tetris 99 will be themed after WarioWare: Get It Together! to celebrate the recent release of the latest entry in the microgame mashup series. Starting on Friday, 17th September at 8:00 AM UK / 12:00 AM PT, the in-game event will be taking place through the following Monday. Maximus Cups have players participate in Tetris 99 online battles to collect event points based on their ranking; the higher you rank, the more points you’ll earn. After gathering at least 100 total event points, a special in-game theme will be unlocked.
