It is not just Nintendo that file for trademarks in Japan. Other gaming companies such as Bandai Namco will also, from time to time, file for trademarks of their own. And a couple trademarks that the company filed just recently may be suggesting that something for Klonoa fans may be coming soon.
Bandai Namco has filed trademarks for “Waffuu Encore” and “1&2 Encore”. The word “Encore” is typically used for remastered game releases that Bandai Namco publishes in Japan. As for “Waffuu”, that’s the catch phrase of Klonoa, the protagonist character from the franchise that shares the same name. Both trademarks may be suggesting that remasters of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil may be on the way.

Yes and no. It was remade on the Wii (simply titled “Klonoa”) but the Wii can’t output higher than a 480p signal.
