Rumor: A list of some playable characters for an unannounced Warner Bros. fighting game has appeared

It may be nearly October now, and it may be very late in the year, but that doesn’t mean that the rumor machine has stopped. In fact, it is still going strong, even with the holidays on the horizon. There have been rumors of a fighting game that is being developed by Warner Bros., although the game has not been officially announced yet.

The game is allegedly called “Multiversus”, but new rumored details about the game have surfaced this week. Multiversus is also supposedly a free-to-play game. There has even been a picture that has appeared, thanks to Smash Bros. Melee world champion Juan ‘Hungrybox’ DeBiedma on Twitter, that showcases some of the characters that may be in the game’s roster.

So far, 13 characters have been included in the rumors and leaks of this game. It is not known what platforms the game would be on, including the potential of a Nintendo Switch release, but if there are further details on this, we’ll let you know. In the meantime, you can see the full list of the rumored playable characters down below.

  • Steven Universe
  • Batman
  • Harley Quinn
  • Finn from Adventure Time
  • Jake from Adventure Time
  • Shaggy from Scooby-Doo
  • Superman
  • Wonder Woman
  • Gandalf
  • Rick Sanchez
  • Bugs Bunny
  • Tom & Jerry (seemingly as one character)
  • And a jolly-looking green creature who seems to be an original character

  1. If it’s a platform fighter, maybe they won’t pander to esports enthusiast like the Nickelodeon game did.

I mean… please make a good online experience but add some charm to the game. Nostalgia is a big part of fighter games with iconic characters

  2. Interesting that Ultra-Instinct Shaggy might actually be a thing in a game… There was an intro for an animated MK movie where Shaggy grabbed Scorpion by the neck and yanked him into the WB logo while glowing and saying “Like, get over here, man!”

  3. Oh boy, now Warner brothers is in the smash bros craze. Let me guess, a Mortal kombat rep? No Marvel reps? Ghostbusters or Ninja turtles but not both? A lego movie rep? A Matrix rep? Yawn.

Dck from Dck and Morty alone is enough to keep me away from this game.

  4. Assuming this rumor is real, I’m not surprised, but quite tired, to see yet another attempt on a fighter with SSB-like gameplay. If it was anything like a MvC gameplay style instead it would have intrigued me more.

Far as the character list goes, I admittingly find the idea of Batman, Shaggy, Gandalf, Bugs Bunny and T&J officially beating each other up hilarious.😄

  5. Will they not have Pepe Le Pew (who at worst, kissed the male & female cats he chased after) but add the ra.pists from A Clockwork Orange? Like they did with Space Jam 2? Cuz the skunk that kissed other animals is totally worse than actual horrible human beings. That said, you’d be horrified at just how horrible some animals are to others in real life, like how seals have been found to ra.pe penguins. Or how penguins have been found to run a train on a dead one. Yeah. Have fun with THAT image in your head. lol
