Nintendo of America has announced today that the boxed edition of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will launch on Friday, 11th February. Reports yesterday suggested that the physical edition includes a download code for the games, and today the box-art which Nintendo of America has displayed on Twitter confirms this. Hopefully some of the issues surrounding the game are fixed before its release.
I was going to wait for the physical edition when it was announced, but now… meh.
What could of been turned into a mess and this makes it even more of a joke.

So what makes it a physical release then?
The box is physical not the games. Rockstar is so cheap they would rather waste plastic just to put codes in the box. At least CDPR made The Witcher 3 physical for Switch and at least Square-Enix has FF X/X-2 on physical cartridge or at least the first game while the second is a code, at least they tried, Rockstar didn’t.
Yeah, cdpr did a great job, also techland have done a pretty good job with dying light.
well, it’s a good thing i decided to pass on this game. is no game company able to do anything decent without any sort of backlash nowadays?

The box says “Download Required”. Nowhere does it say that it’s a download code or that no cartridge is included. Several of the bigger physical games have required a download.Now, maybe it is just a code, but what’s shown here does not prove that.
15 extra than most physical copies of the game! I’m hoping it’s some random stuff, or …the original trilogy. All 3 3d games with the extra price included I hope will be on the cartridge!
No download code! All 3 games are on 1 single cartridge. But there are software updates for VC and SA… less than 10 mins for both. Only disappointing thing is if I had waited 1 more day after release. The shop is now selling it for normal price. (15 less) oh well. Also many said the original trilogy gta 1 and 2 etc would come with it which appears not to be the case! Still all 3 gta switch games on 1 single cartridge, I’m happy with!
