The latest UK boxed-software charts have come in thanks to Games Industry and there’s a new No.1 this week with the arrival of Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The racing simulator has knocked last week’s No.1, Elden Ring, to No.2. The Pokemon Company and Game Freak’s, Pokemon Legends Arceus, continues to perform well on Switch as is at No.3 this week. The other notable Switch game which released on Friday is Square Enix’s strategy RPG, Triangle Strategy, which arrived at No.7. Here’s the GfK UK Boxed Top Ten for the week ending 5th March, 2022.
Holding third place is Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which saw a sales rise of 16% week-on-week. The Nintendo Switch game is the best-selling UK boxed game of the year so far (Nintendo does not share digital numbers).

Its rough timing for Triangle Strategy. I am 100% exactly their target audience, but I’ve been absolutely drowning in Elden Ring so much that I haven’t bothered to buy TS which I intended to do.
