  1. Why won’t they add the Steam Deck sells into the category? People keep bragging about how much better it is to the Switch so I want to see them put their money where their mouth is.

    1. Sure Switch sells allot to casuals and mommy’s but its really lacking for core gamers unlike Nintendo 8 Bit , Gameboy , Snes , N64 , Gamecube. After that things wen’t downhill. Even First party is a shadow of its former self. The Wii sold great aswell , every local bar , 50 year old and girl bought one. Sales alone mean nothing when you have a mediocre library to back it up. Nintendo in the 90s early 2000s had a amazing library of first and third party triple AAA games. Since the WII your happy to own 10 top titles and even that is pushing it. I’m not talking about all those mediocre somewhat fun games that score 7 and 8 but Top titles.

      1. So why didn’t you hard-core gamers make Halo Infinate top 10 bestsellers as long as Nintendo’s Animal Crossing or Mario Kart 8?

I’m sure the Series X surpassed the Wii U now so it should have a big enough install base too keep its tittles in top 10 like how like MK8 stays on there. So why wasn’t that So called Hardcore why yall not supporting and buying it? A new Xbox game is top 10 for barely a week then it’s off the radar list.

        1. I don’t even have a Xbox and never did XD Also whats a Yall? Are you African American? I probally own and played more Nintendo games in my life than you ever will. I gues you are born in after the year 2000? If so you don’t know what your talking about and this conversation is already over to begin with.

Nintendo from the 90s had Mario , Zelda , Metroid , Smash , earthbound , Starfox , Yoshi , Kirby , Donkey Kong , F-Zero , Pokemon , Wave Race , Pilot wings , Mario Kart , Tetris , Dr Mario just to name a few First party titles , compared to today where they keep making Mario and Zelda and some cheap versions of Metriod , Donkey Kong and a few other titles. Splatoon and Animal Crossing aren’t even allowed in the same room as the games they made in the 80’s and 90s.

Nintendo from the 90s had games like Mega Man , Street Fighter , Castlevania , Mortal Kombat , Goldeneye , Banjo , Jet Force Gemini , Bomberman , Double Dragon , Final Fantasy , Chrono Trigger , Secret of Mana , Secret of everymore and tons and tons of amazing RPG’s , Sunset Rigers , Killer Instinct , Out of This world , Ghouls n’Ghosts , Earthworm Jim , Zombies at my neighbours , Demon Crest , Fire Emblem , Breath of fire , Loads of amazing Turtle Games , Lufia , Lost vikings , loads of amazing disney games , and many many many more amazing third party titles ;)

That was the real Nintendo who made gaming populair ;) You could buy a Nintendo and easily get 40-100 top level games on par with Mario , Zelda , Metroid. Huge first party library , huge third party support library. Now they sell consoles to little children until there 10 and buy a playstation , mothers who never gamed in there life and other casuals.

And since you keep on calling me a Hard-core gamer , withouth support from people like me when we grew up with Nintendo , Nintendo wouldnt even be around today ;)

I love Nintendo to dead and spend the past 37 years playing there games , but those sales your so preciously holding on to in all your comments don’t meant anything to me ;) I look at the quality of the games and the quality of the library and see Nintendo used to be a far far far greater company and with me many others ;)

So next time you want to open your big mouth and throw around conclusions withouth even knowing me think again please ;)

          1. What a bad way to start off a response with a bigoted comment even though later paragraphs of your comment were … insightful. y’all or Yall has is a word used mostly in the southern part of the US. Has nothing to do with race. Many people in that area of the US use that term regardless of race.

  2. Well. Steam Deck is a stolen product. Wine is suppose to be used as and archival Technology to preserve windows apps that may no longer be useable on more modern PC’s. So who gave Value the right to steal Windows apps and install them on machines?

        1. Playstation and Xbox are using a improved version of the Snes Controller , wich is still the best controller in history better than the N64 , Wii , Wii U and Switch. Just because someone else comes up with something first doesnt mean others are never allowed to use it ever again. Atleast thats how I view.

As for my earlier response , I got my first Gameboy and Nintendo 8 bit in 1989 when I was four years old , my number one franchise since than is The Legend of Zelda. I own every Nintendo console up till The WII and the 3DS. I will never sell anything , also played on the WII U and The switch but refuse to buy those. Anyway I think I earned my stripes , Nintendo has been a huge part of my life and i’m really invested in there franchises.

The thing with Nintendo fans also on this website (I have been around for many years) is that they always defend Nintendo even if there wrong and all they can say is graphics don’t matter , we sell allot of console ect.

When you bought the 8 Bit and the Snes you easily had 40+ triple A titles all legendary games. N64 only had like 10-15 but those where really great. Game Cube had a descent library but lacked great RPG titles like Final Fantasy for example. (Crystal chronicles wasn’t a mainline game). When you buy a PS1,PS2,PS3,PS4 you easily get 40+ triple A titles all top notch games on the same level or better than Nintendo’s best games.

Sure all the gimmicks are fine and Nintendo found its niche not to compete with Sony and Microsoft but for someone who grew up with Nintendo its sad to see they went full children and casuel when they could easily do both and get full third party support back. In fact i’m 100% convinced if you take the Sony , Microsoft library and combine it with Nintendo first party they would crush everyone.

As for graphics there just a means to an end to get full support , also as I mentiont before I love Nintendo franchises and because of this I think they deserve to be the best they can be , this also includes the best looking world that can be build. Lord of the rings movies wouldnt be as great if they went cheap and made everything cgi instead of real suits and models of cities ect. (Hobbit was worse because of this)

As for people who always mention powerfull consoles beeing expansive , The switch console is way more expansive so are its games.

There are allot of people that see these issues with Nintendo so always coming up with bullshit arguments to defend Nintendo and never criticize them is ridiculous.

Playstation and Xbox are cheaper than Nintendo consoles , they put allot money in gimmicks. If I want a handheld ill use my phone or buy a gameboy. Just make a real console with full support and expend your first party titles , compared to the early days its a joke now , they got many great titles that they rarely ever use these days.

    1. Wine is a compatibility layer to run Windows applications on Linux, it’s open source software that can be used for whatever people want to use it for, software is just software, there’s nothing wrong with running it on something that it wasn’t intended to run on, if it was then the Switch is running “stolen” software since it’s OS has parts from both FreeBSD and Android (Which are both also open source).
