Japan: Nintendo Switch family sold 50K units and Demon Slayer Switch at No.1

The latest physical Japanese video game software and hardware charts are in via Japanese sales tracker, Famitsu. There’s a new No.1 video game this week which has dethroned the unstoppable Nintendo Switch Sports in the land of the rising sun and it is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yabia – The Hinokami Chronicles which shifted 20,964 units on Switch, despite being released in October 2021 on PlayStation systems. The Nintendo Switch family of systems continue to be the best-selling hardware shifting an additional 50,405 units this week. It’s also worth noting that the Xbox Series X|S consoles outsold the PlayStation 5 models this week, though both continue to be affected by stock shortages. Here’s this week’s best-sellers in Japan:
