Nintendo shares Xenoblade Chronicles 3 message from producer

Nintendo recently sent out an email to customers in Japan which was written by Monolith Soft’s, Tetsuya Takahashi, who is the senior director of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. He started off by thanking fans for purchasing the latest game and went on to say that the recently released Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the “culmination of the whole series up until now, and it truly is the culmination.” He said that it is a “stopping point” for him, but he assured fans that that doesn’t mean that it is the end of the series. Mr. Takahashi said that those who finish it and also play the future upcoming downloadable content will understand where the series is heading next.

“Greetings to everyone who purchased Xenoblade Chronicles 3. This is Takahashi from Monolith Soft.

Thanks to your support, we’ve released the third Xenoblade title, twelve years after the original Xenoblade was released for the Wii in 2010. Xenoblade 3 has been called the culmination of the whole series up until now, and it truly is the culmination. We at Monolith have put everything we have cultivated over the past twelve years into it.

It is also a stopping point to me. This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus’s experiment.

While it is a conclusion, that does not mean it is the end of the Xenoblade series. It is just a stopping point in my mind. I think that everyone who played this title and the additional stories in the Expansion Pass can imagine what lies in the future for Xenoblade.

I have one recommendation for how to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Some things are marked by a ? on the game map. Even if you are in the middle of progressing the main story after finding the ? marks, try taking a detour. There are many encounters waiting there.

Thank you for your continued support of Xenoblade Chronicles 3!”

  1. All I know is that I want this next thing from the series: Definitive Edition of XCX! Please Monolith Soft!

    1. I’m actually surprised that XCX hasn’t been ported to the Switch. I didn’t play the game, so I don’t know if the game used the Wii U gamepad a lot, but I think that they should be able to port it one way or another

      1. It’s been a really long time since I last played it (at launch), but I don’t remember X having much going on with the gamepad aside from the typical “just put the map on it” thing. Great game, btw. I still can’t believe it hasn’t been ported yet.

  2. Just like almost everyone else on the comments, I really want Xenoblade Chronicles X. And since the series is done for the moment, next year would be the perfect time to bring it out.
X is my favorite game in the series, as well as the reason my Wii U is still hooked up.
