Sakurai has finished posting daily Smash Ultimate screenshots

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been available for over 3 and a half years now. A year after the base game’s release, game director Masahiro Sakurai began posting a screenshot of the game on his Twitter account every single day. Even after the game finished getting new content last year, Sakurai continued the daily screenshots.

Unfortunately, even that journey has now come to an end. Sakurai has posted his final daily screenshot of Smash Ultimate. However, he says that “I’ve been thinking about starting something new”, though it won’t be daily. Whatever it is, Sakurai suggests that fans “check back around this time tomorrow for more info”. His tweet about the matter can be seen down below.

  1. Put simply, smash bros is one of Nintendos most sold games so they inevitably just have to make another entry.
Hopefully sakurai will be at the realm again. I know he worked himself to the bone with ultimate, but maybe this time round he’ll have a bit more time to develop the next entry.
Good luck though coz it’s gona need to be pretty substantial to top ultimate!
