Disney Illusion Island releasing on Switch in 2023

Today is the day that Disney had their Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, which is part of the D23 Expo. There was quite a bit of content that was showcased in the event, but for Nintendo Switch players, there was something of note that may interest you.

Disney has announced Disney Illusion Island, which is a “multiplayer platformer”. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s part of the series of Illusion games that have been seeing releases since the 90s. It’s the same video gaming series that includes Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. Disney Illusion Island will release next year on the Nintendo Switch. The reveal trailer can be seen down below.

  1. I brought a lot of mickey mouse figurines from wal mart. I’m not looking to invest in disney crypto. I just wanted to have them.

  2. I know Disney has been using this aesthetic for its Mickey cartoons for at least a few years, but I never really cared for this art style. Looks like it’s trying to be Rayman Origins rather than anything in the Illusion series of platformers, and not really succeeding at capturing the feel of either series. Hope it plays better than it looks

      1. Well, I’m seeing the same fat black outlines, flat characters, simplistic environments, washed out colors and over reliance on squash and stretch here that I see in the shorts. So it seems like that’s what they were aiming for. But I get what you’re saying

        1. Your right about the simplistic environments, it really looks like an uninspire indie game, oh well some uninformed parents are going to pick this up for the kids cause mickeys on there.
