Square Enix has been busy. Octopath Traveler 2 was officially announced in today’s Nintendo Direct. According to Nintendo, the game will feature 8 new travelers that “journey through the land of Solistia, each with their own story to tell”.
There will also be new features. For example, it was confirmed that there will be a day and night cycle. The game will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on February 24th, 2023. You can see Nintendo of America’s official tweet about the matter down below
I got so excited for this while watching the direct! I instantly recognized the main theme being sung as octopath. So beautiful. I just hope they fixed the pacing and made the stories tie into each other more (or at all, really).
