Japan: next Ys game to launch by September 30th, 2023

Nintendo are not the only ones that release fiscal year financial reports. Many other video gaming companies do a similar thing, including third-party companies. This also includes Falcom, who are the developers of the Ys games.

In fact, Falcom released an earnings report for the fiscal year that ended earlier this year, on September 30th. They confirmed that the next Ys game will be releasing by September 30th of next year. They also confirmed that, in Japan, they have plans to release 3 video games in the same fiscal year.

  1. Seen on AnimeNewsNetwork and Gamatsu this year is the 35th anniversary of the Ys series. I’ve only played Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana and Monstrum Nox, im just surprised even games that release in 2023 such as the Ys series with be multi platform including The Switch, PS4 and PS5. They discontinued the PS4 when the PS5 released, but still release games for last gen.

    1. The Nintendo Switch is current Gen, same as Xbox series S/X series and the PS5. The wiiU was in the Xbox one and PS4 generation.

      F=ma.

      1. I know, i read the Ys game that releases in 2023 will be available for The Switch, PS4 and PS5. My point is, why discontinue the PS4 when the PS5 released but still release games for it. Sure you can still purchase refurbished PS4’s and ppl still have them and the PS4 has an active fanbase, but if they discontinued it why release new games still.

        Didn’t mean release new games for The Switch or Xbox Series S/X of course those are current gen. Sony discontinued the PS4 yet they still release games intended for current gen on a system that’s been discontinued. Releasing games originally intended for current gen on a system with outdated software will make the software performe harder.
