SEGA has revealed the Sonic Frontiers 2023 roadmap bringing new costumes, playable characters and story content. So far there’s three major updates planned which will presumably released during the spring, summer, and autumn. Photo mode and costumes will also be coming and the first is the free Holiday Cheer Suit Sonic costume which will be available on 21st December. The most interesting is the addition of new playable characters and new story content, though the company didn’t elaborate on this, so speculate as you will.
Sonic Frontiers 2023 Road Map:
- Update 1:will add Sound Mode, Photo Mode, and a new Challenge Mode.
- Update 2 will add new Kocos and an Open Zone Challenge Mode. Also, content will be added to celebrate Sonic’s birthday!
- Update 3 will add new playable characters and additional scenarios!
Looks like they kept their word that about continuing to support with Sonic Frontiers game. Looking forward on those contents next year and playable characters again.

Imagine if Sonic Team gets better with Sonic with Frontiers onward while GameFreak goes further down the toilet with the main games of Pokemon with Scarlet/Violet onward. That’d be hilarious. A little sad (for GF) but still hilarious.
