Bandai Namco is preparing for the release of the classic GameCube Tales of game Tales of Symphonia Remastered for the Nintendo Switch and other platforms. Today, they have released a new trailer giving fans a closer look at Lloyd and his friends adventure through the world of Sylvarant which features remastered HD visuals. Sadly all version of Tales of Symphonia Remastered will run at 30fps compared to the smoother 60fps of the original GameCube version. Tales of Symphonia Remastered launches on 17th February.

“Tales of Symphonia Remastered is set in the world of Sylvarant, a dying land in dire need of a constant source of mana, where legend dictates that a Chosen One will appear to regenerate and restore the world. Players will follow the adventures of Lloyd Irving and his friends as they embark on a worldwide adventure filled with unforgettable characters and an emotionally charged storyline that still resonates with longtime fans and will appeal to anyone who appreciates stirring game narratives. 
 
Tales of Symphonia Remastered will feature inspired anime cutscenes, endearing characters, and a unique art style originally designed by renowned artist Kosuke Fujishima in stunning detail. In the game, players explore Sylvarant and take on powerful foes as they fight to bring it back from the brink of destruction. Classic JRPG gameplay puts hundreds of attack and magic combinations at players’ fingertips in real-time battles. Tales of Symphonia Remastered will also feature “couch co-op” local multiplayer for up to three additional players.”

    Wha WHAT? Also defeats the purpose of a remaster.

    1. Well, it isnt a Remaster per say, it’s more of a port of the Remaster that was made for the PS3/PC back in like 2014. That remaster was based off the PS2 version that had 30fps, so that’s why this is the same way.

  2. I love Tales of Symphonia and am even thinking about getting the Chosen Edition, but the 30fps is really holding me back. There have been other nicer collector’s editions too. I wish they had taken the time to return it to 60fps especially since it’s back on a Nintendo platform, and the Switch at that. I would’ve gladly waited for that to be worked on instead.
