Atelier Ryza anime series announced

It has been announced today that the Atelier Ryza series will receive an anime adaptation this summer. The anime will be based on the first adventure, Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. The studio handling the anime is Liden Films, who were behind popular anime such as Tokyo Revengers and Blade of the Immortal, so hopefully the franchise will be in good hands. Here’s the description for Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, which is available now on multiple format including the Nintendo Switch.

“The main character is Ryza, an ordinary girl. Tired of boring village life, she escapes the village to gather with her good friends in a secret location to talk of their dreams and plan thrilling adventures. One day, the determined Ryza and company decide to head for the forbidden “island across the shore” as their first exploration trip. Together with the alchemist and other friends they meet there, they have a “summer adventure” that they will never forget.”

  1. I’ve been interested in the series for a while, but never played the games; so I don’t mind giving the anime a shot, especially if it’s made by the same people who did Tokyo Revengers (still waiting for season 2 to come to Crunchyroll)

  2. I’ve played a few of the Atelier games, i’ll certainly check out the anime adaptation. I enjoyed the games, just the alchemy isn’t always easy figuring everything out.

  3. Ryza thighs in full anime coming right up.
But seriously though, congrats to the Ryza series (and the whole Atelier franchise I guess) for getting an anime series adaptation.

  4. I’m not surprised it’s getting an anime adaptation plus anime is the superior of all animation.
