Footage appears online reportedly showing SEGA’s Jet Set Radio reboot & Persona 3 remake

Early this morning unreleased footage was uploaded online showcasing two of SEGA‘s rumoured video game projects. One of the videos is for the reboot of the stylish Jet Set Radio, which was originally reported on by Bloomberg in April 2022. The other video is for the rumoured remake of Persona 3 by Atlus. The footage seems to have been leaked from an internal SEGA conference, which happened in late 2021. There is currently a lot of debate on social media regarding the legitimacy of both videos, though the general consensus seems to be that they look too well made to be fan made.

  1. Saw the Persona 3 Remake leak earlier this week, it leaked on Reddit but was quickly taken down.

I’m personally of the opinion that it seems real, like this article says it does seem too well made to be made by fans (though it’s still not impossible I suppose).
Most of the criticism of it seems to stem from re-used or missing assets in the video (such as the lack of an Evoker on Yukari’s model, as well as her lack of a SEES armband. People have also noticed that her bow is a reskin of Hereward’s from Persona 5 Royal). But I don’t think any of that stuff really disproves anything given that this is an in-dev build from 2021, it’s obviously not from the final build of the game.
With all the rumours we’ve had of a P3 remake recently, it does seem like it’s only a matter of time till it gets officially announced.

God I just hope Atlus do it properly. Incorporating the best parts of FES and Portable into a single definitive game, not just a HD remake of base P3.
