Nintendo says no new hardware will release this fiscal year, which ends 31st March 2024

Nintendo has confirmed to investors that they have no plans to release any new Nintendo hardware this fiscal year, which ends on 31st March, 2024. It seems fairly reasonable to think that a new platform could launch sometime next year, but you can never really second guess Nintendo. The Nintendo Switch family will be entering its seventh year on the market and while the hardware is aging and sales are slowing quicker than expected, the device is still continuing to sell well with consumers despite the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

  1. I mean yeah that makes sense it’s possible it might come late or mid 2024 but that being said the only type of hardware Nintendo will release would be special theme edition OLEDs switch

  2. It’s funny, people have been raving about the switch pro or switch 2 for the past 4 -5 years, and you still think your going to get it so soon. I really hope the lot of you enjoy the sour bitter taste of disappointment when you don’t get it next year 😂😂😂😂😂

    1. Do people still want a pro though, I never like the idea but I always figure the oled was literally the pro version as it runs slightly better than the older model.

  3. They did not say this. VGC has a history of mistranslating/misinterpreting official statements from Nintendo, so I would be extremely cautious about using anything they publish. Best to wait for the official English translation in the next few days.

  4. Good. Now hopefully some of these idiot youtubers can finally stop making videos on how the next console is coming out this year.
