The Gunvolt series has proved to be a hit with fans of Japanese 2D action games, though it now appears as though the series has come to a close for the time being. One would assume that Inti Creates would like to expand their horizons and work on something new after producing Gunvolt games since 2014. Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 was released on multiple platforms in 2022. Here’s what the CEO of developer Inti Creates, Takuya Aizu, told fans on Twitter:
“Thank you very much! I’m glad that you have been playing since Mega Man Zero. The Gunvolt series has come to a close for now, but I think it’s time to start thinking about future developments. Although it is not Gunvolt, please look forward to our completely new project!”
TL Note: The word used here is 一段落, which means “to reach a stopping place, to settle down (before the next stage).” This does not necessarily imply that the Gunvolt series has ceased entirely; it only means that he will be moving on from it for the time being.

Hey sickr, I know its not related to this but. Is the update of trading your Pokémon from past games are available now for Scarlet and Violet? GameFreak did they said Spring which it already past.
Shoot. I loved that game.
That’s a little sad, but given how they ended three I am totally okay with that; I am willing to wait for if and when they want to return to the series
That’s totally fine, they should work in other IPs (new or existing) to expand their catalogue. Last time they tried something new was Dragon Marked For Death, i want new stuff from them or maybe licensing something else.
What a poor ending to a saga.
They never said it’s done and like megaman they expanded and went with X so they could just be moving onto a different but same story
3 already felt like it was set in a different universe from the previous titles. GV also seems like a new character personality wise.
