Warner Bros. Games finally revealed that the next Mortal Kombat game is a reboot titled Mortal Kombat 1 and that it is coming to multiple platforms including the Nintendo Switch in September. Today, we have news regarding the first Kombat Pack, which according to an Amazon Italy, will include six playable characters including Peacemaker and Homelander and five kameo characters including Johnny Cage. Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on 19th September at retail and on digital stores.

Let’s hope if this truly does come to switch it’s not complete garbage like 11 was. That game should have never released on switch. The complete lack of quality control on that version and neitherrealm being okay launching it in the state it was was absolutely pathetic. Showed all they care about is money and not the quality of their games. I lost count after 20 times how many times that game crashed on me. Even came back years later and it still crashes. And don’t get me started on the krypt mode how bad that was compared to the other versions.
I get the game is not gonna look and perform like the other versions but this was inexcusable.
So with everything you just said, you think that a newer version of the game is going to play good on the same hardware that couldn’t manage the previous iteration? good luck with that. This is one game I know I’m not buying on switch. Sometimes you can just tell when the Switch Version is NOT gonna be good.
Well that will depend on the devs learning from their porting mistakes. Having it run good was not the problem it was the devs halfassing it to get it to run.
Just like Dustin said. It all depends on the devs. The game came out years ago. It’s not hard to think in that time they got better at understanding the hardware or it could be possible they don’t use the same team that did 11. That’s incredible you were able to tell the switch version was not going to be good before it came out. Sure wish I could see the future.
Pretty cool the kombat pack dlc has a Jean-Claude Van Damme character skin for Johnny Cage.

Just like 11 I will wait until all characters are released and then wait until it drops down to 10-15 bucks for the full game. I am not paying to dollar for 1/3-1/4 of a game and being forced to buy the other characters. People need to get on board or next thing you know is you will get to choose one character to play and have to buy every other character separately. Regardless in the end no Mortal Kombat game is worth 120+ for the whole thing in fact no game is worth that much period.
So, this Kombat pack is basically dlc. Wow, NeatherRealm really sucks nowadays. I guess only hardcore fans and brainless normies are stll buying their games. Pathetic.
