Zelda voice actress talks about her influences for voicing Princess Zelda

News site Axios recently sat down with Zelda voice actress Patricia Summersett to talk about her influences when she first took the role of Princess Zelda in 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Canadian voice actress told the site that her voice for Princess Zelda was influenced by “women who are very strong, heady but also placed in a royal position,” and those who have “a zeal for education, that kind of sparky brain.” She mentions Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) Emma Watson (Harry Potter series) and Mia Farrow (The Last Unicorn) Talking a bit about the game, she said that she has never met long-time Zelda franchise producer Eiji Aonuma and that she throughly enjoyed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time when she in high school. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is out now and you can read our recent review here.

  1. No offense to the actress, but i really, really dislike zeldas voice in this game(and the last). I legitimately enjoy the CDi voice acting more than all the bland, uninteresting or just bad voices these games have. Ganon sounds alright.
