Switch firmware receives new “rebootless” update

When Nintendo normally releases an update to the Nintendo Switch‘s firmware, it results in a version number change and, at the very least, a handful of changes that had been made confirmed via patch notes. For these updates to finish, the console is required to reboot itself.

Well, Nintendo has decided to release another rebootless update tonight. This is the second time that Nintendo released a rebootless update since the firmware was updated to version 16.0.3 in May. You can see a tweet relaying the news, which includes what was changed, down below.

glad nintendo has blocked the infinite abc soup community from using their favorite word for people that are speaking up for actual women.

    1. Your comment is so wrong on so many levels, wow. How about you don’t talk about things you have no idea about? Besides, the mentioned list prohibits you from naming your online character those words, so if anything, Nintendo blocks people wanting to be named TERFs.

  2. Yeah, considering the context of everything here, it’s to stop bigots in general from naming their accounts/characters hateful stuff- like nazis, antivaxxers and TERFs. You wouldn’t believe it, but some transphobic losers actually proudly call THEMSELVES TERFs. This cuts them out of the equation.

  3. This is isn’t freedom of speech, we all should have the freedom to be offended. Make Nintendo like COD MW2 lobbies where I get called the N word 36 time and meet all 783 of of my mother’s lovers.

    1. My brother in Christ, did you not read the tweet below it? Minors play these games, Nintendo doesn’t want to promote or show any form of hateful/controversial topics to minors. Easy as pie.
