Square Enix confirms Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince will have one save slot per Switch account

The upcoming Dragon Quest Monsters game, which is titled Dragon Quest: The Dark Prince, will only allow players to have one save slot per Nintendo Switch account. The news comes from Noisy Pixel which had the chance to ask Square Enix more about the first Dragon Quest Monsters game in a long while. Square Enix wouldn’t say why they had opted for this restriction, but hopefully is not set in stone right now. Dragon Quest: The Dark Prince launches exclusively on the Nintendo Switch later this year.

“Players can use multiple accounts on 1 Switch, and each account on that Switch gets one save slot. To play against each other online, each player needs to have their own copy of the game.”

  1. I hate games that only allow one save slot, just assuming that the developers have never experienced a corrupt save. I usually make multiple save files just in case something happens.

    1. This is why it is morally correct to hack your Nintendo Switch. Game save backups are highly underrated.

There are games on PlayStation and Xbox that do this as well meaning it’s also morally correct to hack them.

  2. Thats total crap. Wouldnt ever get this. Ive had a lot of corrupt save files. I always need a backup too. I wont take chances with one save slot on an RPG. No way ever. Fool me not. I know how it ends. I hated the last one anyhow. Now I hate this one.
