Rumor: Industry analyst Serkan Toto apparently hinting a Zelda remake by end of the year

With Nintendo’s final Direct of the year now just a memory, Nintendo’s first-party release schedule is now set in stone for the rest of 2023. However, there is a recent rumor going around suggesting that Nintendo may have one more surprise in store for fans before 2024 arrives in a couple of months.

You see, industry analyst Serkan Toto has posted a cryptic tweet on his Twitter account. The tweet is apparently hinting at a Legend of Zelda remake coming by the end of the year. This would be the second time Toto hinted at a Zelda release. The first time was in 2021, where he hinted at a 2022 release for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. This was proven true in the Direct that followed, but the game would be delayed to 2023 later on.

As for what the remake is, there have still been rumors at Nintendo Switch ports of the HD remakes of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. Whatever it is, if Toto is right, then it’s likely that a reveal will be coming via social media or at The Game Awards in December. Nevertheless, you can see his tweet down below.

      1. But that was Metroid. Zelda is something they always make a big deal out of. The only thing that might get shadowdropped is the HD games from Wii U but… even then I think they might try to make a big deal out of it (unless it’s just one of the games).

  1. Well I know Serkan since 10 years ago he lives in japan and have lots contacts who works at japanese companies there is a possibility this news is true.

  2. Let me guess, a link between worlds remake? Regardless what it is, I’m so spoiled with the open world Zelda games that the traditional 3D ones and ESPECIALLY the top down ones just don’t do it for me anymore. I already beat the 3ds versions of both OOT and MM so unless they put in the effort to make those games open World, I doubt I would get them. I probably wouldn’t mind remakes of the Oracle games. I liked the art style (even though Link and Zelda were too short and immature), but the graphics were too retro for me to finish them. I might get remakes of faces of evil and wand of gamelon for the lols.

  3. I could see Metroid Prime 2 and Wind Waker. But they still have Twilight, Spirit Tracks and 4 swords yet to remaster as well or port. In the end I see it
They will be adding Phantom Hourglass to the NSO.
In the end it will be link between worlds. That’s my final answer.

    1. He would have been right. Nintendo was working on a mid-life refresh of the system and it was canceled due to COVID-19, according to analysts. The parts shortages caused a big delay so they decided to extend the Switch life and simply go with a successor.

  4. That’s funny because Capcom said something similar at the same time and the only game I can think of that Nintendo and Capcom worked on that could result in selling millions easily for Capcom before March 2024 and would also be a another Zelda remake would be The Minnish Cap being remade in the same engine as BotW and TotK.
Now I’m certain this won’t happen but I would be lying if I said I don’t this.
