SEGA announces reboots of multiple IPs are now in development

You may recall that, earlier this week, SEGA was teasing a major announcement that would be happening at The Game Awards. All we knew is that there would be a “new era” and “new energy”. There has been a lot of speculation, but at last, the wait is over.

Needless to say, the announcement is absolutely not what a lot of fans were expecting at all. SEGA has confirmed that reboots of multiple IPs are in development. Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and Crazy Taxi have all been confirmed, with more to come. You can see SEGA’s announcement tweet down below.

    1. Could be included with the “and more” part. They do own Atlus now, so they could absolutely help Sega develop a new SoA game.

  1. Well looks like the 2 companies I thought wouldn’t deliver on anything new proved me wrong.
Visions of Mana, Shinobi, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage are making a huge comeback.
The sad part is these games are the only games that actually put a smile on my face during the game awards show… well, that new open world game Light No Fire looked okay but it seem as if that’s gonna be always online from the gameplay footage and I don’t do always online, but it looked decent though.
Either way, I’m happy knowing there are at least 4 games that I know I will be buying so I’m happy.
I’m glad Baldurs Gate 3 won most of the awards, I know that stuck up dev who forced all of those boring pointless MJ missions in Spider Man 2 was pissed, maybe if he added more missions as a playable Venom and removed all of the boring crap they would have won something.

    1. I don’t think so, Nintendo is always going to be better than SEGA, the only good thing sega brought was Sonic the Hedgehog and that’s it.
