Jack Black, who plays the mighty Bowser in the Super Mario Bros. Movie, has said that he would love the second movie to be a musical titled Bowser’s Revenge. Talking about the sequel to the incredibly popular original animated movie, Black said that he’s ready and raring to go but has been met with “radio silence.”
Regarding a potential sequel, Black has been thinking a lot about what it could look like, including a possible title that he pitches — “Bowser’s Revenge.” He even talks about how it could be structured: “I think it should be a full musical, like what Todd Phillips is supposedly doing with ‘Joker 2.’”

I get that he’s a huge music guy, and “Peaches” was fun, but I don’t want a sequel to be Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Mario Edition.

The sequel needs to be a SMRPG-type story where Mario, Peach, and Bowser team up against a common enemy.

Will Bowser did have one heck of and orchestra from Galaxy 1 and 2. It could work if they ever thought about bringing that back in next 3D Mario hame or Movie.
Donkey Kong is honestly the only one I can see pulling off a musical… of sorts. I’d personally copy Labyrinth & have only the villain do the singing. But unlike a David Bowie, more like a hard/heavy metal singer for King K. Rool. Or just anyone with a deep speaking & singing voice will do.
