It may have been over 5 years now since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate released on the Nintendo Switch, but the game is still receiving a little bit of support from Nintendo. There has been a few Spirit Events that have occurred in-game so far this year, and there’s still one more slated to happen in the near future.
That all said, there is a new update that has been released tonight. Once you update, the game should be at version 13.0.2. According to the official patch notes, this update doesn’t re-balance anything or fix any bugs. The only thing the update does is that it adds “compatibility with the Sora amiibo, which is scheduled to be released soon”.
I managed to order Sora off GameStop’s site during one of the few windows it was open for preorders; barring any mail mishaps, I should get it by Saturday evening and my Smash amiibo collection will finally be complete.
