Jeff Grubb says he had heard of big Metroid marketing campaign set for May

Samus in Metroid Prime Remastered for Switch

In the latest Game Mess Decides Podcast host, Jeff Grubb, talks a little about one of his reliable sources who informed him a while back to expect a big Metroid marketing campaign to kick off around May 2024. If true it is most likely a remaster of Metroid Prime 2, rather than Metroid Prime 4, though stranger things have happened. The response from fans and critics for Metroid Prime Remastered were glowing. Metroid Prime Remastered is available now on the Nintendo eShop and at retail.

  1. I miss the days when mynintendonews was real news and didnt just peddle this rumor nonsense from horrible sources that are wrong 75% of the time…

  2. So… they shadowdropped Metroid Prime Remastered but they will do a huge marketing campaign for Metroid Prime 2 remastered? I don’t think so.

  3. As much as the remakes of the other metroid prime remains plausible, his prediction is ridiculous to say the least. Why advertise this for… the month of May? Who did he hear that from? A Nintendo employee? Let’s go… The more the days go by, the more I notice that this kind of madman is doing everything to attract an audience. And if nothing happens, what will he invent, “Nintendo postponed it because of the invasion of ducks in Japan”??

  4. If we are getting a marketing campaign, it’d make sense if it was either MP4 or we’re getting multiple Metroid announcements. Zero Mission for the NSO – GBA, Samus Returns HD, and both MP2 & MP3. And at least some info on MP4. If I could play every Metroid game on my Switch by the end of the year, that’d make my year. Oh yeah. Totally forgot about Metroid Prime Hunters! Yep. That’s all of the games. Excluding Pinball, of course. Nothing else to mention. Nothing at all. 🤨
