Grubb: Source who mentioned Epic Mickey Rebrushed also said Metroid Prime 4 is 2024

Video game leaker and journalist Jeff Grubb has said on today’s Giant Bomb stream that the source who informed him about Epic Mickey Rebrushed, which was announced today during the Partner Direct, also told him that Metroid Prime 4 is scheduled for release this year. That could change if Metroid Prime 4 is a launch game for the Nintendo Switch successor as we had heard that Nintendo has pushed back the launch from the fall until early next year. As always this is a rumour and should be taken with a grain of salt.

  1. By the way, my source had also told me about Epic Mickey Rebrushed AND they mentioned Super Mario Galaxy 3 was releasing this year. I didn’t say anything before because reasons.

    1. A couple reasons for this. Some times they could be looking for a second or third source to corroborate the information and they don’t get one so they don’t publish it, but now Epic Micky was correct, maybe Metroid this year is true

Another reason could be by revealing the Epic Micky and Metroid info, it could compromise who ever told him it (especially the timeframe of when someone would know about it) so he kept his mouth shut for the security of his sources, but now Micky is out there, Metroid 2024 doesn’t need to be kept under lock and key. It’s probably my first reason but I’d thought I’d throw this one out there too

  2. I didn’t hear anyone mention Epic Mickey before the Partner Direct. Geoff talking 💩💩💩! No chance is Metroid Prime 4 releasing this year. I doubt it’ll even get a downgraded Switch port. Sites need to stop giving him air. Pyoro knows way more than he does.

  3. This guy has no credibility in my eyes. and the worst part, he won’t admit that he was wrong, no, he will say that it’s Nintendo’s fault.
    pathetic
