Rumour: Persona 6 is semi-open world and features more fluid Social Links

More information has emerged regarding the yet to be announced Persona 6 from SEGA Atlus. The information comes from Reset Era member Head on the Block – previously known as Im a Hero Too and has a good track record with these types of leaks. What we know is that Persona 6 won’t be fully open world like the recently released Final Fantasy Rebirth, but will instead be a semi-open world experience. Of course, the game will once again be set in a high school and is set to feature “more fluid” Social Links. Atlus has yet to announced Persona 6, but it’s currently in development. Here’s what was said:

“Social links are much more “fluid” for the next game. You can interact more and most stuff isn’t timed but it’s a huge part of the series. Persona is two things: high school and social links, I think the “hardcore” fans know this. That will never change, just the things around it and the systems will, if that makes sense.”

“Sadly I would say P6 probably isn’t for you then. The core is the same. I think the team’s message is, “high school nostalgia” and I’ve heard “many times over, Persona IS high school+student links. It’s just more modern in that, semi-open world.”

    1. Anonymous Skywalker

My uncle from Nintendo has also confirmed that it will be a Switch 2 launch but told me that if it doesn’t launch on the consoles launch then they will delay it to launch simultaneously on PS5, Series X/S and PC.

    2. *Semi-open world. So probably just like Persona 5 but with less loading transition zones. Which is only a good thing.

    3. This complaint is as silly as the “too many sword users” in Smash. There’s still plenty of non-open world games still being made. Open world games, like the sword users in Smash, are still a small number when measured up to the rest of the list of things to play.

But that’s not my problem… disappears back into the hedge wall behind me

    4. You dont have to play it. I know that it is probably hard for you to realize but video games aren’t a personality trait. You dont have to play all of them either

  1. So long as they keep the turn based strategy and don’t turn it into a hack and slash (like another famous Series) fine by me!
