Pokemon Company registers new subsidiary called Pokemon Works

Ash with the adorable Pikachu

The Pokemon Company are seemingly getting a support studio to provide additional personnel to mainline Pokemon studio, Game Freak. The news comes as The Pokemon Company has registered a brand new subsidiary called Pokemon Works. Pokemon Works is located in the same building as ILCA, who are best known as the development company behind Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, as well as Pokemon Home. Hopefully The Pokemon Company will share more details in the near future.

Thanks to Edward B for sending in the news tip

  1. I thought they were going to announce the return of Ash. Not that I want him to return. I don’t hate Ash, but i would rather they leave his future open for interpretation than to not let anything happen. It irks me that they insist that he’s still 10 even though they’re not using him. What’s the point?

    1. I mean, his whole life is open to interpretation. You said it yourself, the kid is still 10. He can do whatever he wants with his future. Besides, with how Pokemon tends to rely a lot on nostalgia, I wouldn’t discard a mini series or cameos of him as a teenager/adult in the (maybe distant) future.
