The Pokemon Company not ruling out Ash Ketchum reappearing in the future

Last year was an emotional one for fans of the Pokemon anime. The multi-decade journey of the series’ main protagonist, Ash Ketchum, came to an end. Liko and Roy are now the new heroes of the anime, but The Pokemon Company isn’t ruling out Ash making an appearance someday.

You see, Variety recently did an interview with Andy Gose, The Pokémon Company International’s senior director of media production, as well as vice president of marketing Taito Okiura. When asked about Ash reappearing someday, Gose said that “we’ve said farewell. Ash is still in the world. Anything is possible, I suppose. In the world of Pokémon, there’s so many possibilities”.

Okiura also spoke about the matter, saying that “we hope Ash and Pikachu continue in their journey. Their journey is ongoing somewhere in the Pokémon world. It’s totally up to our fans’ imagination. For the time being, we would love to focus on the new story of the Liko and Roy. Horizons’ invites a new beginning”.

  1. He’s never coming back, and I hope he never does, absolutely sick of him, and sick of team rocket, can’t stand them, and never want to see them again.

It’s sounds to me like they are done with him, and thankfully so. Ash should have retired a good decade ago. Absolutely sick of him. Who cares about stupid pikachu, and stupid team rocket who never get stupid pikachu. But are sickly obsessed with it.

He has died now, let him rest in peace.

  2. Well anything is possible. So, some characters returned in games and anime. Some characters don’t. So, lets see whats down the line for the series for the new heroes.

  3. Shows after X and Y ended that wasn’t good, Sun and Moon was pathetic misunderstood. It was crazy to place Ash back in school, the person who thought of that is clearly a fool.
