Konami is looking to fix and improve the Metal Gear Solid Collection

In a newly published development video, the team behind Metal Gear Solid Master Collection have stated that they are not happy with certain things about the collection and have proposed a number of changes which should help bring the collection up to date. They have looked at the final build of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection and have noted things which they think need to be changed. It’s not clear how long these fixes will take but it’s something that they are looking at right now. You can see their thoughts about what needs changing in the image down below.

  1. Updating broken games after release is the video game equivalent to intentionally doing something you were told not to then asking for forgiveness later.
Just make sure your games aren’t broken on release, especially so when it’s a rerelease of games!

  2. Hasn’t this been out for half a year now? Why are they suddenly adamant about fixing their game NOW? Fixing it earlier (or better yet, releasing it in a finished state) would be a much better look.

ehhh… I’m at the point where I can’t even say, “better late than never,” because that will only enable this behavior further. This was my introduction to these games, so I can’t claim expertise on the OG’s, but it should really be more embarrassing for these giant studios to struggle and fail to rerelease decades old games. These weren’t remakes, nor were they particularly demanding remasters, so I really can’t comprehend how they could mess them up. And if for whatever reason they were more trying to port than initially thought, there’s no harm in delaying the game. It’s Metal Gear. It’ll sell well whenever they release it.

    1. The whole game industry is on this “better late than ever” that I can’t even trust Nintendo no more. Animal crossing new horizon on release was by far the worst animal crossing I’ve ever played, I’ve dropped it in one month it became good after many updates but I already lost interest and I never opened it again. Day one games are now just basically open betas at full price and you have to hope that the company behind the game you have paid will actually finish it.

      1. That’s exactly what happened with me when I played New Horizons. I felt so robbed because I remembered getting so much more out New Leaf on the 3DS.

I’ve told that to other people who stuck with it, and they’re adamant that the game is really good right now. Maybe one day I’ll either return to my island or create a new one to see how it feels now, but for now I’m still a bit burned out by the game- and I never even unlocked terraforming…

  4. “It’s reassuring to see Konami actively engaging with feedback to enhance the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, showcasing their commitment to delivering a quality gaming experience.”

  5. I’m really starting to worry about the Silent Hill 2 remake & the new game. Is Konami gonna fumble the ball again? That phone CG movie hasn’t exactly given me hope. (I gave up on that damn thing within the first week.) If they do fuck it up, Konami might as well shut down their company and sell everything off to people that might give a damn. Or sell the entire company. I’m sure they could make a good penny to retire on if they sell it to the right person.
