Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 has issues that will be fixed post-launch

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is just one more day away from releasing on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. With the release so close, Konami is making preparations. For example, Konami has informed IGN of something that fans will need to be aware of when they check out the games tomorrow.

According to IGN, Konami has told them that there are issues in the collection that will be present when it launches. Bug fixes are planned across Metal Gear 1, 2 and 3. However, Konami specifically mentions Metal Gear Solid 2 has some significant slow down in certain cutscenes, and they will be releasing a patch that will increase the processing load.

Other than that, there are plans to fix some subtitles. Metal Gear Solid 3’s subtitles, specifically “the original England, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain (EFIGS) EU versions”, have some typos. There is also an issue where “the timing for a scene and background music to trigger in a certain cutscene is slightly different from the original game”. As for the bonus content videos, There are some subtitles that don’t match up with the audio in the bonus content videos. Konami says that a patch is planned to fix all of these problems.
