Banjo-Kazooie composer says no Banjo related “things are afoot”

Banjo Kazooie

For many years now, fans have been wanting to see Banjo-Kazooie return. The duo did make an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a playable character, but other than that, Microsoft and Rare have continued to let the franchise stay dormant ever since Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts released in 2008.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. However, Banjo-Kazooie Grant Kirkhope has been teasing that “things are afoot” on social media, before clarifying a day later that it is not related to Banjo-Kazooie at all. Kirkhope even agreed with a fan that said that we shouldn’t expect anything from Banjo at this point.

  1. I think it might be a tease for the re-orchestrated music for Yooka-Replaylee- Grant did the music for that game and I presume he’s back for the remake.

Perhaps a snippet of new music like how Sega has been doing with the Shadow levels for Sonic X Shadow Generations? I’m honestly really looking forward to new renditions of Glitterglaze Glacier and Moodymaze Marsh.

  2. At least he’s making sure to not give people false hope by being vague where BK is concerned. That’s good to see.

  3. Well, a banjo game would sell. Microsoft HATES things that sell. They’ll hold on to that IP so no one else can have it and do jack fucking shit with it.

  4. I’m Nonya Business! I fake think Banjo Kazooie is mid to troll/engage bait! I pretend to be a Nintendo fan but make character wars about every character in gaming because I’m jealous of Rosalina! I harass people if they don’t give me Waluigi!
