GamesIndustry developer Christopher Dring has doubled down on his opinion that the Switch 2 will be revealed in some form this month by Nintendo. Dring said in a new podcast that he had heard the information at Gamescom last month from several developers. It remains to be seen whether Nintendo will reveal the console this early or hold off. We also heard that Nintendo is planning to announce a new Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) bundle which includes Super Mario Bros. Wonder this month.
Chris Dring has doubled down on Switch 2 reveal this month

Well, time will tell I spose.
I don’t see why not, need to start building that hype train.
I don’t think it will affect current switch sales too much, I mean the people buying a switch now would be because now’s the time for a sale deal and the switch has been around for so long now and they would’ve bought one already by now if they gona pay full price and the current switch will still sell for a while even when switch 2 is around so they might still hit that no 1 spot. I need to see this thing like now and get my preorder in!
I’ll take it with a grain of salt for now. If it’s true, kind of odd to announce it in September, but better late than never. Besides, there wasn’t much I was looking forward to this month.
Back and forth we go. I thought it was discovered that the rumored next device was just a bundled deal with a Switch and Mario Wonder, but I guess they could do both. However, if Sony announces the PS5 Pro like many seem to believe, I would assume Nintendo would wait to show us the next generation platform. Afterall, they do like to distance themselves so that their announcements stand out more.
They wouldn’t waste an announcement on a bundle. The bundle is just something they are using to lift console sales this holiday. Those of us that are die hard Nintendo fans already have a Switch and already know about the next console. Bundles like that are geared toward people who aren’t going to buy the next console when it launches. And that bundle is for UK. If there is another direct this month, it will be for the next system, NOT some random bundle in the UK they are using to promote holiday sales, come on now.
Not entirely. His sources maybe less accurate but, I’m gonna keep my expectations low for now. I was hoping as the October reveal being the same as the original switch.
September directs are usually next week anyway so something big is most likely to happen next week we really just don’t know what will occur yet.
Sounds strange… why would I buy an OLED model bundle if there is a new system on the way and they are just a few months apart? The only reason is if there would be a major price drop in case of the OLED
People, you still don’t understand that “they are based only on the history of the switch, 8 years ago?…. They did the same thing to us for the nintendo direct at the beginning of the year but it turned out that only Pyoro was right, thanks to his source at sega, but we now know that Nintendo and others are fighting against his leaks so it is very very unlikely that everything that is said is true. They’re just trying to make themselves interesting…
I believe less and less in an announcement this year, they are not going to ruin the last Christmas of the Switch, I think rather around February-March, I remind you that they have until March 31 at 11:59 p.m. and 59 seconds Japan time to unveil it…
Why would they announce a new console, likely for release in March, two months before Black Friday where the Switch almost always blows the competition away for Christmas? That would cannibalize sales.
I would think they would run production to meet quotas for the holiday, slowly wind it down so they aren’t sitting on a bunch of unused stock, and announce a new console in March for a Summer release.
Why wasnt no one able to predict the NX just popping up out of nowhere unexpectedly? If im wrong on that then name the person who predicted the Switch being unveiled and showing Odyssey.
Ever since then now everyone is a prophet.
