The user verified by the Switch 2 sub-Reddit mods has now taken a photo of what they claim to be the dock for the Nintendo Switch 2. They’ve admitted they have used AI for the backgrounds on both images in an effort to protect themself. Again, this is a make of it what you will situation. We won’t know for certain until Nintendo decides it is time to reveal the long-awaited system which is planned for this year.

Don’t know…
It’s completely fake.
Even though it’s fake, you never know if the docking unit has access to use the 4K DLSS technology.
Once the unit is inserted into the docking unit, you’ll experience first hand that the Switch 2 is completely different from the original system.
How can you be so sure if it’s a docking unit? It’s like the same as the original switch or maybe Nintendo have revamped it somehow.
They could have just photographed the thing on a huge table instead of showing an entire room, but instead they took a photo of the thing, photoshopped the photo to remove the background and then they put an ai background behind? What????? I’m not believing this dude at all man this is sus.
We in the endgame now boys.
Seriously though, I don’t see how it matters if it’s real or fake. We already pretty much know what it’s going to be. No real surprises with the hardware.
I’m waiting for the software reveals
Yeah basically, Nintendo is probably going to announce this thing the first days of january
Of course not.
No, we don’t know…no one seems to be considering that the next console might not at all resemble the Swich, which is dangerous and terrifying.
If Nintendo doesn’t present the console you’re hoping for, are you going to insult them?
We have enough data points to draw a reasonable conclusion (that it’s very much like the Switch but upgraded).
I’m not really hoping for anything. After adding a backlight and rechargeable battery to the GBA SP, my needs are met when it comes to hardware. I’m only excited for the new games.
But how can you say that all this is real? By thinking for 2 minutes, we realize that all this seems bogus! This would not be the first time that so-called leakers say anything and you all take this as Holy Words, it’s simply terrifying at this point!
What are your expectations?
I think you’re overreacting a bit here. Whether or not this is real or fake won’t change the fact that we’ll all need to wake up tomorrow and take a dump in the bathroom. You don’t need to make this sound like it’s a life or death situation
I’ve read somewhere about the new dock exposing the switch screen so it can be used as a secondary.
Even if it there is some screen exposure while in the dock, I don’t see how it could be used practically for anything imo. At best maybe a clock and showing the power settings maybe? I can’t imagine it’d be used as a sensor bar.
Yeah, in docked mode it will have the potential of the “Alarmo” without the features lol
Wake up ponys.
keeps sleeping (I’m a monkey)
Well, if its real .. it has some space in there for some power-dissipating components. Now that could mean its not using a wall wart as a power source like the original Switch Dock (unlikely), or that area contains some sort of eGPU, which would allow it to perform significantly better in docked mode (and would be the smart move)
Consider that the dock is supposed to increase the system’s graphical power. As such, you’d expect it to be thicker.
Blah harasses devs over his character wars, the successor to the console wars because he’s jealous of Rosalina
Idc one way or the other. That said, always take everything you hear with a modicum of disbelief (AND a modicum of open-mindedness). Some people cheat & lie. A few will even lie about the most horrendous shit, unfortunately.
It’s interesting to see how rumors spark curiosity, especially when it comes to anticipated releases like the Switch 2.
