Popular American website Rolling Stone has published a revised list of the best games of all-time and you can check out the full list at the link here. The site says that they looked at how influential the games were when they were originally released along with how well they hold up to today’s standards. Check out the top ten down below.
“For this list, we looked at both how influential each game was at arrival, as well as whether it still holds up. A good game may have played well, but a great one still does. These are games that made the culture what it is today and will chart where it goes tomorrow.”
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Tetris
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Super Mario World
- The Last of Us
- Half-Life 2
- Metal Gear Solid
- Final Fantasy VII
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Super Metroid

EEEEEEWW it smells like funko pops and Soylent in here eeeeeeehhhh…

I’m trying to figure out what Funko pops smell like, i have a bunch of them and they don’t smell like anything.
What a boring by the numbers list. I mean every one of these is a safe choice.
More like the 10 most overrated games of all time list
Oi! Leave Super Metroid outta this!
Serious question, who gives an actual fuck what Rolling Stone thinks?
I’ve never seen a more normie list in my life. Not surprised coming from Rolling Stone.
who’da thunk they’d put super metroid on here
I’m not really sure why most comments are crapping on this list. Seems like 10 solid games. There’s so many good games, you’re really not going to get a consistent top 10 from everyone… and that’s excluding personal favorites.
boring no one cares, non gamer losers. keep snorin horsies
Way to get the gen z’ers whining, RS. Nicely done
It is missing Ocarina of Time and Chrono Trigger.
I’m very surprised Super Metroid made this list.

It’s always intriguing to see how different publications curate their “greatest games” lists. While Rolling Stone’s selection includes undeniably influential titles, it also highlights the subjective nature of such rankings. Each gamer’s personal experiences and preferences inevitably shape their own top ten.
Lists like this always spark great debates. Some of the choices here are timeless, but I think everyone could easily make their own top ten with totally different games. It just shows how diverse gaming really is. For me, I balance the big AAA experiences with lighter ones, like ovo game unblocked, especially when I just want a quick play session during breaks.
