Bayonetta Origins director joins PlayStation Studios

It has been a concerning time for PlatinumGames. Despite the studio celebrating Bayonetta’s 15th anniversary this year, PlatinumGames has been plagued with worries that the studio is losing a lot of its high-profile veteran developers. Hideki Kamiya left the team in October of 2023, and recent rumors have suggested that he is far from the only one to do so.

We’re still waiting to see if everyone that is rumored to have left has, indeed, left. But one of them has been recently confirmed to have done so. Abebe Tinari, former Platinum game designer and director of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, has updated his Linkedin profile. As of last month, he is now working for Housemarque, one of PlayStation’s studios.

  1. Oh well by the time he brings out a game for Playstation it will be in the middle of the PS6 life cycle. Xbox bought just about every developer its 2025 what exclusives does it have…nothing. Game developers move from studio to studio and dont do nothing.

    1. Well, Xbox bought those studios in an attempt to have a monopoly over the industry, not have exclusives. The last Xbox exclusive was in 2015, and Phil Spencer took the brand 3rd party officially in 2017 while stating all games from newly acquired studios would remain multiplatform. He’s said this numerous times, and I don’t even need an Xbox to play Xbox games, I can just use my TV, Switch, Mac, PlayStation, Steam, etc.

Not sure why you thought Xbox would have anymore exclusives after a decade of having 0.
