It probably doesn’t need to be repeated anymore, but Switch 2 rumors and leaks have really picked up this week. As the week as continued, they have only gotten more frequent. However, this latest rumor may be the first time this week that isn’t actually related to the Switch 2’s hardware. This time, it’s the games that are the topic of a rumor.
Reliable leaker and insider NateTheHate released a new video earlier today. In it, he says that 4 big games will be coming to Switch 2. Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth were all specifically mentioned. Remake will release in 2025 and Rebirth will release in 2026. None of the games are particularly surprising, thanks to what Microsoft and Square Enix have said previously, but it is a rare rumor about the Switch successor’s games.
That said, those may not be the only ones. When Xbox fan and video game insider Jez Corden was informed by a fan about NateTheHate mentioning Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator coming to Switch 2, Corden replied saying that there will be “way more than that”. So, it’s very possible that this is only a portion of what companies like Microsoft have planned for the next Nintendo console.
This would be the first main line Final Fantasy game since the Super Nintendo! Wich had a big part into me no longer buying Nintendo Consoles since the Wii U. Every gen was a dissapointment , missing out on franchises like this that used to be on Nintendo and did there part in making the Snes so great.
What are you talking about? You can get VII, VIII, IX, X, X2, XII and a version of XV. How is it the first one since the super Nintendo?
100% sure that the N64 didnt have FF7,8,9 the PS1 did ;) Also 100% that the Gamecube , Wii , Wii U didnt have any FF10 and above after that eather. The Gamecube had Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles a lame game compared to real Final Fantasy games. So the guy/girl/it/they/Schitzo is right.
All of those games were ported to Switch… And this guy must be counting ports or else Remake/Rebirth don’t really count if they come either.
Nope. Ff7-12 are on switch. Ff 15 mobile too.
This is just a current gen port first since super Nintendo.
The first current gen main line entry in a while for a Nintendo console, is what they meant.

If the rumor of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this and next year, this could be the mother of all epic wins from Square Enix, Nintendo, and NVIDIA! I truly want to see these two titles to be presented in DLSS technology… especially at 60fps!

I can believe the FF remake collection but not the Master Chief collection despite Microsoft wanting their IPs on more systems.

I don’t like FF and this release in particular is censored. Won’t convince me to buy a Switch 2.

I fully expect the Final Fantasy 9 remake to be announced as part of the Switch 2 line up.
